Finalists of Mister Mpumalanga 2026
Ladies and Gentlemen Good Morning.
1. It is a indeed a distinguished honor and privilege to join you today for this Meet and Greet session with the finalists of Mister Mpumalanga 2026.
2. On behalf of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government and the Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation, I extend a warm welcome to all the finalists who have worked tirelessly to reach this important stage of the competition.
3. Today is not only about celebrating physical appearance and confidence. It is about recognizing young men who are prepared to serve as ambassadors of our province, role
models in their communities, and champions of positive social change.
4. Ladies and Gentlemen, this engagement takes place at a time when the 7th Administration of the Mpumalanga Provincial Government is intensifying efforts to build a more inclusive, prosperous and socially cohesive province.
5. Under the leadership of our Hon Premier, Mr Mandla Ndlovu guided by the priorities of the 7th Administration, the Mpumalanga Provincial Government remains committed to the empowerment of young people, promoting social cohesion, advancing gender equality, and strengthening community development across the Province.
6. As the Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation, our mandate goes beyond preserving culture and supporting sporting excellence. We are equally committed to developing active citizenry, building a cadre of young people who will continue to advance and deepen Ubuntu values embedded in Moral Regeneration and our rich cultural diversity.
7. Programs such as Mister Mpumalanga contribute meaningfully in building a vibrant social cohesion.
8. Miss and Mister Mpumalanga platforms provide young people with opportunities to become agents of positive change, advocates against gender-based violence and
femicide, substance abuse, crime, and other social challenges affecting our communities.
9. The 7th Administration recognizes that the future of Mpumalanga depends on a generation of young leaders who are disciplined, innovative, socially conscious and committed to serving their communities.
10. The finalists before us today represent a team of patriots who carry the hopes of young people to say it can be done no matter your background, only if you believe in yourself and most importantly by advocating the power of education.
11. Further more as government, we encourage all of you as young ambassadors to use your voices and influence to promote social cohesion, healthy lifestyles, community service and respect for the values enshrined in our Constitution.
12. To the finalists gathered here today, you have already demonstrated courage, determination and resilience just by stepping forward.
13. Each one of you represents the hopes and aspirations of many young people across our province.
14. I wish to reiterate this point, as you continue your journey towards the Grand Coronation, I encourage you to use this platform to promote positive values, help us to
intensify the fight against all forms of social ills, support community initiatives and inspire other young people to pursue their dreams
15. I would also like to commend the organizers of Mister Mpumalanga for creating a platform that not only recognizes excellence but also contributes to the personal growth and development of young men.
16. As we look forward to the Grand Coronation, let us remember that true success is measured not only by the crown but by the impact we make in the lives of others.
17. To all the finalists, I wish you the very best. Continue to carry yourselves with dignity, humility and pride as young ambassadors of moral and ethical leadership. So that masithi umuntu omusha epalini we dont get disappointed.
18. As a Department we remain committed to supporting programs that contribute to youth development, social transformation and economic participation.
19. Together with our social partners, we will continue implementing the priorities of the 7th Administration to ensure that no young person in Mpumalanga is left behind.
20. Through Culture, Sport and Recreation, we are building stronger communities, creating opportunities and shaping a better future for the people of Mpumalanga.
