Freedom Day goes to Nkomazi

MBOMBELA –The Mpumalanga Provincial Government will mark 24 years of Freedom in Kamachekeza Stadium on Friday, April 27 starting at 08:00.
This year’s theme is: “The Year of Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela: Towards full realization of our freedom through radical socio-economic transformation.”
“This year the country will be celebrating 24 years of Freedom and Democracy and the provincial government is taking the event to the people of Nkomazi. As we celebrate Freedom Day, we must be grateful for the gains the country has made since 1994. We must be encouraged to continue to work hard to ensure the country flourishes,” says the mouthpiece of the department, Sibongile Nkosi.
Premier Refilwe Mtsweni and other members of the executive, including MEC for Culture, Sport and Recreation, Thandi Shongwe will grace the event. Premier Mtsweni will deliver the keynote address. Entertainment will be provided by Bongi Silinda, Princess Indlovukazi and entrance is free.
