New Library for Acornhoek

ACORNHOEK – Fifteen high schools and 25 Primary schools from Cottondale, Green valley circuits and Ehlanzeni TVET College stand to benefit from the opening of the new local library on Tuesday, August 1.

Education is one of the priorities of the Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation and the opening of the library is a sign that government is committed to improve the education system and empowering communities with resources such as libraries.

Acornhoek Public Library is stocked up with the latest technology in the industry and has the latest titles in various fields. “As a department, we are passionate about increase literacy in societies and libraries are an ideal platform to achieve this objective,” says departmental spokesperson Sibongile Nkosi.

Library users can look forward to a library, which features a circulation desk, study area, activity room, media room, shelving room, computer room, children section, junior section and magazine/newspaper area which will make their library experience enjoyable and pleasant.
