For Immediate Release - 04 March 2026

The Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation proudly congratulates Mpumalanga’s very own TS Galaxy and Casric Stars for their impressive performances in the Last 16 matches of the prestigious Nedbank Cup securing well-deserved spots in the quarterfinal stage of the competition.

“Both teams have demonstrated resilience, tactical discipline and the fighting spirit that defines Mpumalanga football. Their progression to the last eight is not only a victory for their clubs, but a proud moment for the province and its passionate supporters,” said MEC Mabuza

In the upcoming quarterfinal fixtures, Casric Stars will face AmaZulu FC at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday (March 7) in what promises to be a thrilling encounter, while TS Galaxy play Jacksa Spears on Sunday (March 8) in another highly anticipated clash at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium.

These fixtures present an opportunity for our provincial teams to continue flying the Mpumalanga flag high on the national stage. Their journey thus far reflects dedication from players, technical teams, management, and loyal supporters who continue to believe in their potential.

“We call upon the people of Mpumalanga to rally behind TS Galaxy and Casric Stars as they prepare for the quarterfinals. Your support remains a vital source of motivation as they aim to advance even further in the competition. We wish both teams strength, focus and success as they take to the field in pursuit of semifinal glory,” concluded the MEC.
