PARK-AND-RIDE ARRANGEMENTS FOR SOUTH AFRICA VS RWANDA FIFA WORLD CUP QUALIFIER

The highly anticipated FIFA World Cup Qualifier between South Africa and Rwanda is expected to draw large crowds to the Mbombela Stadium in the City of Mbombela on Tuesday, 14 October 2025, starting at 18:00. To ensure smooth traffic flow and ease congestion around the stadium precinct, Park and Ride facilities have been made available at strategic locations across the City of Mbombela. These facilities are located along major access routes into Mbombela to assist fans in reaching the venue safely and conveniently. The designated park-and-ride sites are as follows: • R37: Fresh Produce Market • R40: Hoërskool Bergvlam • R40: Nelspruit Primary School • Riverside Government Complex • Lowveld High Fans are encouraged to make use of these facilities to avoid traffic delays and parking challenges near the stadium. Dedicated shuttle services will operate between the park-and-ride points and Mbombela Stadium from 15:00 and 22:00 after the match. Fans who want to park close to the stadium must ensure that they do so before 16:00, as no vehicles will be allowed into the stadium precinct thereafter. Following a briefing with the Local Organising Committee earlier today, MEC for Culture, Sport and Recreation, Ms Leah Mabuza, expressed her confidence in the preparations and urged fans to arrive early and cooperate with traffic officials. “We are hoping for a win in this encounter and as South Africans we will leave nothing to chance. The same goes into ensuring a smooth event. We are ready to host a safe, exciting and well-organised match day. The park and ride system has been carefully planned to ensure that everyone enjoys a smooth experience on their way to support Bafana Bafana. I would like to encourage all fans to make use of the park and ride and arrive early to be part of the electrifying atmosphere at Mbombela Stadium,” said MEC Mabuza.
