MEC LEAH MABUZA TO DELIVER EULOGY AT THE FUNERAL SERVICE FOR DR SD GUMBI

The Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation MEC Mabuza will deliver a eulogy at the funeral service of the late Dr SD Gumbi. Dr Gumbi, a revered pastor, evangelist, gospel music producer, and motivational speaker, passed away recently. He was widely known for his powerful messages of faith, peace, and unity, as well as his iconic phrase “U-Amen Usekhona?” which continues to echo through churches across South Africa. Dr Gumbi’s influence stretched beyond the pulpit. He founded the S.O.S Choir in 1984, played a key role in easing community tensions during the 1980s political unrest, and mentored a generation of young ministers through various interdenominational platforms. His music ministry and bold spiritual leadership placed Standerton and the Lekwa Municipality on the global religious map.
