Mbombela- The Department of Culture, Sport, and Recreation in Mpumalanga will welcome Para Athletic Collen Mahlalela back home after his notable achievement at the world stage. The Department will give the Para Athletic a heros’ welcome after he recently won a silver medal at the Para Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan where he won a silver medal in the 400m race finals. “We are very proud that a 28-year-old from eHlanzeni, Emasibekela in Nkomazi, Mpumalanga, has won a silver medal in such a prestigious competition. We are proud of him and we want the whole world to know that we are grateful to Collen for achieving such a feat which once again put our province and the country on the podium of sporting success!” said Sibongile Nkosi, Spokesperson for the Department of Culture sport and Recreation in Mpumalanga Collen Mahlalela will be arriving at the Kruger Mpumalanga Airport on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
