MPUMALANGA FILM XPERIENCE
The Mpumalanga Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation is planning to host the Fifth Mpumalanga Film Xperience on 08 and 09 December 2023, in Secunda. The Mpumalanga Film Xperience is aimed at supporting and sustaining the local film culture while celebrating the diverse local film content. This platform is to encourage unique and patriotic narratives. The Mpumalanga Film Xperience will celebrate aspiring film practitioners that exist in the province of Mpumalanga and also celebrate outstanding film makers from Mpumalanga who are excelling Nationally and Internationally. Entrance to the festival is free of charge. 4 finalists will be selected and awarded cash vouchers ,to the value of R10 000.00
Criteria
1. Priority will be given to films with content promoting the rich cultures in Mpumalanga.
2. Films are encouraged to showcase and promote the Mpumalanga landscape.
3. Short films and Feature Films must be of no longer than 60 minutes.
4. Films delivered in SiSwati and IsiNdebele will be given priority.
5. Films should contain no sexually explicit scenes, nudity and profanity.
6. Films should adhere to the Film and Publication Board rules.
