Mpumalanga Sports Awards
Mpumalanga honours its Stars
Athletes from Gert Sibande District walked away with top honours at the inaugural Mpumalanga Sports Awards on December 3 at the Banquet Hall in Middelburg.
Dumisani Msibi and Glenrose Xaba won the Sportsman and Sportswoman of the Year Awards respectively on Thursday at the city of steel. Msibi, a goalkeeper, plays for SuperSport United in the PSL and received a callup to Bafana Bafana. He also has several caps in junior national teams. Xaba's achievement in athletics saw her walkaway with award after setting a new Mpumalanga record in 1 500m run.
