MBOMBELA- The Department of Culture, Sport and Recreation in collaboration with the South African Library For The Blind, will officially be launching a Narration Studio on the 14th of July 2022 at the Mbombela Regional Library.

MEC Thandi Shongwe says the department is thrilled to open this Narration Studio as it will address the reading needs of the people of Mpumalanga, especially the lack of reading material in indigenous languages spoken in the province. “The studio/recording booth will focus on producing/narrating material into indigenous audio books. It will allow narrators to record books for the visually impaired using high technology equipment that will enable the beneficiaries to borrow and listen to the narration” concluded MEC Shongwe.

All Covid-19 health and safety protocols will be adhered to.
